Bryan Fuller, the writer-producer widely touted as being the man who can reverse the ailing fortunes of NBC’s Heroes, has once again left the production according to various reports.

DreamWorks is developing The Defenders, a movie based on a concept from Heroes star Masi Oka. Producing the film will by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orc, while Eagle Eye helmer DJ Caruso is reportedly on board to direct. Adding to this, The Book Of Eli scribe Gary Whitta will write the script for this project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Knepper is the latest actor to join the cast of Heroes. This follows the recent appointment of Californication’s Madeline Zima to the superhero series.
