The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself: Magical dark comedy series to launch on Netflix

Expect magic, sarcasm, banter, potions in zip-lock bags, hunters, romance, loyalty and unbreakable friendship in Netflix’s new series The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself.

The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself

Full to the brim with witches, fray, magic, dark comedy and adventure, Netflix’s latest series The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself is roller-coaster ride of a young adult show and it’s heading our way next month! In fact, the whole vibe of the show can be pretty much encapsulated in its first-look image above.

Based on the Half Bad trilogy of books written by Sally Green, the show follows sixteen-year-old Nathan (Jay Lycurgo) who is the illegitimate son of the world’s most dangerous witch. Fearing he will follow in his father’s footsteps, Nathan is constantly monitored. But as the boundaries between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ fray, Nathan – along with mischievous Annalise and charismatic Gabriel – will soon discover who he truly is.

Written by Joe Barton (The Lazarus Project), the series boasts an entirely new score created by British pop group Let’s Eat Grandma and stars Jay Lycurgo (Titans), Nadia Parkes (Domina), Emilien Vekemans (Transferts), Isobel Jesper Jones, Paul Ready (The Terror), David Gyasi (Carnival Row), Karen Connell (Vikings), Kerry Fox (Last Tango in Halifax), Fehinti Balogun (Dune), Misha Butler (Kiss Me First), Liz White (Unforgotten) and award-winning musician Róisín Murphy.

The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself is launching on Netflix on 28 October.
