Here’s a Christmas special we never expected… Disney+ has released the trailer for its new TV series Hawkeye, and there’s more than one type of bow being lined up to celebrate the holiday season.

Set in post-blip New York City, Hawkeye follows former Avenger Clint Barton who has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a superhero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.
Helmed by Rhys Thomas (Masters Of Doom) and directing duo Bert and Bertie (The Great), the series stars Jeremy Renner (Avengers: Endgame), Hailee Steinfeld (Dickinson), Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It), Fra Fee (Cinderella), Tony Dalton (Sense8), Zahn McClarnon (The Forever Purge), Brian d’Arcy James (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez.
Hawkeye debuts exclusively on Disney+ on 24 November, 2021.
