In her typically caustic fashion, Finke said: “Gee golly gosh, Jeff Zucker and Ben Silverman keep telling the media they’re doing a swell job. I’m told NBC now will forgo the last four episodes of Knight Rider and is shutting down at a total 18. This must be a new network primetime record for failure.”

Knight Rider recently reshuffled its cast and changed the direction of the show, following a poor showing in the ratings department. The remade series stars Justin Bruening as Mike Traceur, the son of the character played by David Hasselhoff in the classic version.
