“Meanwhile, in another universe…” the world of Spider-Man is getting bigger with the upcoming superhero movie, Madame Web, which sees Dakota Johnson as a woman who can see the future battling controversial Spider-Man villain, Ezekiel Sims.

In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller follows Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures… if they can all survive a deadly present with Ezekiel Sims.

Directed by SJ Clarkson (The Defenders) from a screenplay by Claire Parker and SJ Clarkson from a story by Kerem Sanga (based on the Marvel Comics) the movie stars Dakota Johnson (The Lost Daughter), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), Celeste O’Connor (Ghostbusters: Afterlife), Isabela Merced (Transformers: The Last Knight), Tahar Rahim (The Serpent), Mike Epps (The Upshaws), Emma Roberts (American Horror Story), Adam Scott (Severance).

Madame Web will be in cinemas on 14 February 2024
