It’s been a big week for Marvel news – first the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer was released during the Superbowl, then the Fantastic Four cast was revealed on Valentine’s Day and now the first trailer for the new X-Men animated series!
Yes, with one of the catchiest theme songs ever created, X-Men: The Animated Series gave a lot of us that Marvel kick way before the MCU and now the classic series is set to be continued with X-Men’97, which is due to land on Disney+ this March.

X-Men’97 revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.

Beau DeMayo (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) serves as head writer, episodes are directed by Jake Castorena (Star Trek: Prodigy), Chase Conley (Major Lazer), and Emi Yonemura (Gen: Lock), and the series features music by The Newton Brothers.
The voice cast includes Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson as Magneto and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler.
X-Men ’97 features 10 episodes and begins streaming on Disney+ on 20 March
