Fantastic Four: Pedro Pascal is Reed Richards as Marvel announces new cast

The cast and release date have been revealed for Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four.

Marvel Studios gave us its very own Valentine’s present yesterday, announcing the cast of the upcoming Fantastic Four movie with a lovely card depicting Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm. It also revealed the movie’s cast.

Check it out here…

Yep, Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby will play Susan Storm aka The Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm aka The Thing and Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn will Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch.

The movie will be directed by Matt Shakman who also directed episodes of Game Of Thrones, Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters, as well as all of the Disney+ Marvel series WandaVision.

Speaking of time-hopping, looking at the movie’s Valentine’s key art – will the new movie have a Sixties setting? Or is the 1960s look a homage to the comic book, which was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and debuted in 1961?

We don’t know too much about the story, but we know the script is being penned by Josh Friedman, who has an impressive genre background, including Apple TV+’s Foundation (based on the books by Issac Asimov), Avatar: The Way of Water, the Snowpiercer series and Terminator: Dark Fate. Alongside Fantastic Four, Friedman will also be writing the new Avatar movie and Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes.
