The Walking Dead teams up with Rawr Messenger for zombie fun

Dress up your avatars as The Walking Dead characters with Rawr Messenger

Feeling like you need a little more The Walking Dead in your life? Well, you’re in luck! The franchise has recently opened an in-app store with Rawr, the 3D avatar-based messaging app that lets you and your friends hang out together when you’re not together. Download it here for non-stop Walker antics.

Within the app, users can now dress up their avatars as their favourite characters from The Walking Dead, including Rick, Michonne, Negan and more, by using in-app credit to purchase unique items, from accessories to weapons.

The new in-app store is a result of an ongoing partnership between Skybound Entertainment, creators of The Walking Dead, and Helsinki-based Futurefly, creators of Rawr Messenger.

Oskari ‘Ozz’ Häkkinen, Founder and Chief Product Officer of Futurefly, said: “As a huge fan of The Walking Dead myself, I am so glad to open that world up to Rawr users.

“We want our users to be able to express themselves in whatever way they deem fit, be it through accurate representations, expressions of who they would like to be, or celebrations of their favourite celebrities, TV characters and role models. Though I cannot say Negan is that much of a role model, the fact Rawr users can dress up like him makes me very happy indeed.”
