Picking up from where we left off, Demetri is on the phone to the agent in Hong Kong. Demanding to know how he is supposed to die, he is told he will meet his end by being shot. He asks to have the call tracked. Mark and Janis do some researching and hear of a former Nazi soldier having a flashforward involving the pair. They head over to Germany, where the man says he knows why the blackout occurred, but will only divulge if he is released from prison. To Janis’s dismay Mark has him released. It turns out the man was duping them. Demetri’s girlfriend admits that her flashforward involves the two getting married; Demetri lies and says his was the same. During a wake, something jogs Mark’s memory, which leads him and Janis to discover a blackout once occurred in Somalia in 1991. Cutting back to 1991, we are in Somalia where a young boy stares at a large chimney as it pumps an unknown gas into the air.
