Marvel’s gain is DC’s loss as Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn revealed on Facebook that although he is bound to Marvel Studios for contractual reasons he’d have loved to direct a superhero from what Stan Lee used to refer to as the Distinguished Competition.
“I am precluded [from working on a DC movie],” confirmed Gunn. “Would have loved to have done Shazam.”
Given the massive lack of fun that DC movies represent, getting Gunn on board could have been a real gamechanger…
