Rings new trailer Samara will still kill you if you watch that video

You’ve still got seven days to live if you watch the new Rings trailer

After some release date shuffling (quite a bit, actually), Rings is finally heading to cinemas on 3 February, and there’s a new trailer to remind you of Samara’s whole deal. The video, the curse, the crawling out from the television, all that good stuff. Anyway, here it is.

The film stars Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz, Aimee Teegarden, Johnny Galecki, Zach Roerig, Lizzie Brocheré and Vincent D’Onofrio, while Bonnie Morgan will contort herself again as the vengeful Samara.

“There’s a video. First you watch it. Then you die.

A new chapter in the beloved RING horror franchise. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…”

F Javier Gutiérrez (Before The Fall) directs from a script by Akiva Goldsman, Jacob Aaron Estes and David Loucka.

Rings is released on 3 February. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
