Game Of Thrones and Dredd star Lena Headey has been cast in the upcoming film adaptation of Clive Barker’s Jacqueline Ess, from his short story collection Books Of Blood.
Variety reports that Headey will lead and produce the horror movie, which is the feature debut of Jovanka Vuckovic, who directed the excellent short film The Captured Bird, and will direct a segment of the all female-horror anthology XX.
Barker, who will executive produce, stated that “Lena Headey is a marvelous performer with an incredible presence. As far as I’m concerned, there is no better choice of actress for the role of Jacqueline. Her beauty and authority will carry the day.”
“Jacqueline Ess is the story of a woman who, in her thirst for change, achieves the ability to transform people’s bodies at will.”
