There’s finally a trailer for David Gordon Green’s Halloween coming on Friday, but in the meantime, there are some fantastic new pictures to feast your eyes on, courtesy of USA Today. The one above shows Jamie Lee Curtis back in action as Laurie Strode, and the site has a tantalising bit of new info on the character:
“Laurie has been preparing for a rematch with the iconic knife-wielding masked psycho, and when he stalks her again in suburban Haddonfield, Ill., she’s as ready for him as he is for her.”
It seems that Laurie’s being as sensible and practical as ever, given that a British documentary film crew has come to pay Michael a visit in prison for a new film…and we all know how that’s going to go. However, it sounds as though Laurie’s state of constant readiness hasn’t had the greatest impact on her relationships with her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak), and the Haddonfield locals have grown tired of her paranoia.
Still, Curtis told USA Today that “She is well-matched, she is prepared, she is focused. She will be the one people are standing behind when that moment comes, because she’s the one ready.”
She describes the film as “simple, clean, scary and excellent,” and we absolutely cannot wait to see it.
Halloween is released on 19 October. Keep up with the latest horror news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
