As FBI Agent Mark Benford crawls out of the wreckage of his car, the world around him is in chaos. Four hours earlier and he is preparing for work. Later on he and his partner Demetri are in pursuit of a felon; Mark’s wife Olivia is working in surgery; babysitter Nicole is with her boyfriend; and hospital worker Bryce is about to commit suicide. Then the world blacks out. Much chaos ensues and following this everyone has visions into the future, occurring on the date 29 April 2010. Mark and Demetri begin work deciphering what happened to the world’s population. Mark, an ex-alcoholic, admits that he was drinking in his flash forward, while wife Olivia admits to committing adultery in hers. During her study of surveillance footage, FBI agent Janis spots a shadowy individual walking through a park during the blackout.
