Doom Patrol: Exclusive UK premier date announced for Season Two

Our favourite band of outcast heroes will return to our screens in July.

The second season DC Superhero series Doom Patrol will premiere exclusively on STARZPLAY in the UK on Thursday 16 July, the platform has announced.

STARZPLAY has said that following the Season One defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. There, they will deal with their full-sized feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton), while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (played by newcomer Abigail Shapiro), who was glimpsed at the close of Season One and whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.

The 15-episode first season of Doom Patrol premiered on STARZPLAY UK in January 2020, introducing the world to DC’s group of outcast heroes who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them: Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), Elasti-Woman aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Victor “Vic” Stone/Cyborg (Joivan Wade), and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton).

From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Doom Patrol is executive produced by Jeremy Carver (Supernatural, Frequency), Geoff Johns (Titans, Batwoman), Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl), Sarah Schechter (Riverdale, God Friended Me) and Chris Dingess (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter).

Doom Patrol Season Two will be available on STARZPLAY on 16 July 2020.
