While drumming up hype for the new Ghostbusters film, Dan Aykroyd has mentioned that Eilza Dushku would be on his wishlist to star as a new proton packer. Putting aside the total stupidity of that particular nomination for a moment, SciFiNow offers its own suggestions, provided by the nincompoops in the office. Be warned, however, not all suggestions were serious and/or good, but as it’s almost entirely irrelevant, it shouldn’t really matter.

Ghostbusters 3 is being written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Official word is that it tells the story of the original Ghostbusters passing on the torch to a new, hipper batch. Currently no director is attached, although Aykroyd has stated a preference for Harold Ramis. The film is currently slated for a 2012 release.
