Heroes and Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller and X-Men and Superman Returns director Bryan Singer have decided to combined their two seperate pitches for a new Star Trek series, but say we’re not likely to see it until after JJ Abrams’ as-yet-untitled Star Trek reboot sequel, and that the direction of their show depends entirely on what Abrams will allow.
“Bryan and I are big fans of Trek and have discussed a take on what we would do,” said Fuller, “and we would love to do it. I don’t think anything is going to happen in any official capacity until after the next movie comes out. And I’m sure it would be wisely under JJ Abrams’ purview of what happens.
“He’s the guardian of Trek right now.”
It’s been seven years since Star Trek: Enterprise went out with a whimper. Would you like to see a new Star Trek TV series, and what would you like to see from it?
