The Bryan’s are the brains behind The Munsters reboot for US network NBC. X-Men and Superman Returns helmer Bryan Singer will be directing the pilot, with Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) writing the revamped ’60s series about a batty family trying to blend in.
According to Deadline: “The Munsters” calls for striking visuals mixed with all the classic “Munsters” archetypes, and NBC had been looking for a top director to create the world of “The Munsters” circa 2011.”
The reimagined series will be a one hour drama and will reveal the origin story behind the Munsters moving to 1313 Mockingbird Lane and will be “edgier and darker”.
