Mad Max reboot gains Transformers’ Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has signed up for the reboot of Mad Max, with The Dark Knight Rises’ Tom Hardy in the title role. Is Mad Max: Fury Road a reboot we could do without, or is there merit to the decision?

Megan Fox’s replacement for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, has signed up for the reboot of the Mel Gibson-fronted post-apocalyptic cult classic, Mad Max: Fury Road.

Alongside Inception and The Dark Knight Rises‘ Tom Hardy in the title role, Prometheus‘ Charlize TheronĀ is taking on the female lead, with other roles occupied by X-Men: First Class stars Zoe Isabella Kravitz and Nicholas Hoult, and Abbey Lee Kershaw and Riley Keough.

Directed by original Mad Max helmsman George Miller, Mad Max: Fury Road has a good chance of being at least faithful to the spirit of the original, but the lack of Australian main cast will doubtless annoy some fans of the franchise.

What do you think, is this going to be a worthy reboot or a waste of time?
