Seth Green and Matthew Senreich’s Robot Chicken is to take a second swing at George Lucas’s Star Wars with another Jedi-themed special, ‘Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II’.
The news comes hot on the heels of the first Star Wars Robo Chick instalment’s DVD release, and its recent Emmy nomination. Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Billy Dee Williams (Lando) have confirmed their involvement and Breckin Meyer, Donald Faison, Seth McFarlane and Conan O’ Brien too have signed up to lend their vocal talents.
“With this second special, we knew we had to do something a bit different, something more,” co-creator Senreich says of the project. “With that in mind, we decided to focus on the bounty hunters a bit and explore their stories. It’s a geek fest for us all!”
