Zombi Child new trailer mixes Haitian history with folklore

A Haitian girls’ boarding school is riddled with weirdness in this new trailer for Zombi Child

It’s anyone’s guess what’s going on in this new trailer for Bertrand Bonello’s folklore flick Zombi Child, fresh from the BFI London Film Festival and coming to Mubi on 18 October:

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

Haiti, 1962. A man is brought back from the dead only to be sent to the living hell of the sugarcane fields. In Paris, 55 years later, at the prestigious Légion d’honneur boarding school, a Haitian girl confesses an old family secret to a group of new friends—with unthinkable consequences.

The film was written and directed by Bonello, and stars Louise Labeque, Wislanda Louimat, Mackenson Bijou, Katiana Milfort, Adilé David and Ninon François.

Zombi Child is released on Mubi on 18 October 2019. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
