X-Men: Apocalypse casts Jubilee, cue the fireworks

Could Jubilee finally get the screentime she deserves in X-Men: Apocalypse?

JubileeThe cast of X-Men: Apocalypse keeps growing as Bryan Singer has announced that Jubilee will be a part of the latest instalment.

I’d officially like to welcome our newest mutant #JubilationLee, #Jubilee @LanaCondor to #XMEN #Apocalypse

The director revealed on his Instagram that newcomer Lana Condor will be playing Jubilation Lee in Apocalypse, joining other newly cast X-Men Sophie Turner (as Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (as Scott Summers), Alexandra Shipp (as Ororo Monroe) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (as Kurt Wagner).

Jubilee previously appeared very briefly in the first three films in the X-Men trilogy, played by Katrina Florece in the first movie, and Kea Wong in X-2 and The Last Stand. None of these appearances felt like enough for the character, especially for those of us who grew up on the animated series.
