evan-rachel-wood-wallpaperMichael Ausiello, the entertainment gossip columnist for Entertainment Weekly, has said that Evan Rachel Wood has been cast in a potentially recurring guest role on the HBO series True Blood.

Citing, as usual, anonymous sources, Ausiello claims that Wood has been signed by creator Alan Ball to play the role of Sophie-Ann, the matriarchal vampire queen of Louisiana.

Wood is reportedly signed up for two episodes at present, but should the show continue into a third season, the part will likely become a recurring role. True Blood stars Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse, and is based on the series of novels by Charlaine Harris. The show will be airing its second season this summer on HBO in the United States.
