The SF art of Stephan Martiniere

Exploring the exceptional world of a great sci-fi artist.

When we recently received a copy of Ian McDonald’s fabulous novel, The Dervish House, which featured some truly superb cover art from Stephan Martiniere, we couldn’t resist running a feature on him.

Martiniere has worked on a number of high profile properties in his career, including Inspector Gadget, Madeleine, The Real Ghostbusters and Star Wars. He’s perhaps best known in the genre for his work with book jackets however, and has created some of the most distinctive covers around in the last few years. A small selection can be found below – to see more, as well as buy prints, go to his website here. He also has two collections out – Quantum Dreams and Quantumscapes, which can also be bought through his website.
