The Bye Bye Man new trailer is coming for you

Don’t think about The Bye Bye Man while watching the trailer for The Bye Bye Man

A new trailer for much-delayed horror The Bye Bye Man has arrived to herald its January release date, and it’s a pretty frantic rush through the rules of this particular evil force and dos and don’ts of surviving. So, you know, pay attention.

The film stars Douglas Smith (Ouija, Santa’s Slay), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jessica Jones, The Matrix) and the great Faye Dunaway! The titular boogyeman will be played by Doug Jones, so whatever happens, we’re looking forward to that. Stacy Title directs.

“People commit unthinkable acts every day. Time and again, we grapple to understand what drives a person to do such terrible things. But what if all of the questions we’re asking are wrong? What if the cause of all evil is not a matter of what… but who?

From the producer of Oculus and The Strangers comes The Bye Bye Man, a chilling horror-thriller that exposes the evil behind the most unspeakable acts committed by man. When three college friends stumble upon the horrific origins of the Bye Bye Man, they discover that there is only one way to avoid his curse: don’t think it, don’t say it. But once the Bye Bye Man gets inside your head, he takes control. Is there a way to survive his possession?

Debuting on Friday, January 13th, this film redefines the horror that iconic date represents—stretching our comprehension of the terror this day holds beyond our wildest nightmares.”

January horror movies aren’t always the greatest, but we’ll just have to wait and see. I mean, we’re definitely going to watch it. And not just because we’ll watch anything in which Doug Jones plays a creepy demonic figure. Although that’s definitely part of it.

The Bye Bye Man is released on 13 January. Keep up with the latest horror news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
