Texas Chainsaw 3D sequel is probably not happening

Don’t get your hopes up for a sequel to Texas Chainsaw 3D

Texas_Chainsaw_3DA sequel to last year’s Texas Chainsaw 3D probably won’t be happening, at least not any time soon.

The reliable folks at Bloody Disgusting report that there is no progress on a follow-up to the 2013 sequel/reboot/rebooted sequel/whatever it was, despite a storming opening weekend. They suggest it’s probably due to the rights being expensive, which would probably mean they’d have to count on a similar level of success.

The film came in for a critical mauling (we hated it), but there were reports that we could be seeing multiple sequels. However for the moment, it looks like Leatherface has hung up his chainsaw and mask made of human skin for the time being.

You can buy The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on Blu-ray for £14.06 at Amazon.co.uk.
