The new Tales From The Darkside TV show, written by Joe Hill and produced by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, has found its lead.
Deadline reports that genre veteran Kris Lemche (Ginger Snaps, My Little Eye, Final Destination 3) has signed on to play the main recurring character in the pilot.
His character, Newman, will also be the only recurring character in the anthology show. “A weathered and tortured young man, Newman is the guide to the unsuspecting who come across The Darkside. Newman – a man with his own desperate, wrenching secrets – knows exactly what’s causing the terrifying Darkside Events that drive the series. What he doesn’t know is how to stop them.”
The original series was created by George A Romero back in 1983 and ran for four seasons, and was turned into a film in 1990 with a cast that included Deborah Harry, Christian Slater, Julianne Moore and Steve Buscemi.
We’re pretty excited to see this Darkside for a new generation, especially as it comes from the pen of Hill.
