The casting for Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty And The Beast keeps getting better and better.
THR has reported that The Guest and Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens will be joining the film as the other titular character opposite Emma Watson.

Also confirmed is Luke Evans (Dracula Untold, The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies) who will be taking on the role of Gaston, the handsome but egregious villain, which we think is a hell of a good shout.

The film is one of three live-action remakes of old classics currently in the works for Disney, along with Cinderella (set for release later this month) and The Jungle Book, which is also still in the pre-production stages.
Beauty And The Beast will be directed by Bill Condon (Gods And Monsters, Twilight: Breaking Dawn) and currently has a 2016 release date.
Cinderella is in cinemas on 13 March in the US and 27 March in the UK. You can buy Disney’s original Beauty And The Beast on Blu-ray for £14.73 from Amazon.co.uk. Get all the latest fantasy news with every issue of SciFiNow.
