After last night’s Super Bowl teaser, the first full trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story is here and it’s putting together a crew. It gives us our first proper look at the cast, including Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett, Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra and Thandie Newton. And a tentacle monster.
There are also four lovely character posters (via Comic Book Movie).
After the film’s heavily reported production issues (directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired late in the shoot and replaced by Ron Howard who reshot A LOT of it, if you hadn’t heard), it’s somewhat heartening to finally see what it’s actually looking like. Here’s hoping that the end result is worth the wait.
“Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.”
Solo: A Star Wars Story is in cinemas from 25 May 2018. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
