In its preliminary list of renewals for the upcoming season, The CW has announced that Supernatural and Smallville will both be gaining more episode orders.
It was widely expected that the Superman origin series would be picked up, as it has enjoyed both popular support and extensive media coverage this season, due in no small part to the addition of Lura Vandervoort as Clark’s cousin Kara. More surprising is Supernatural, as the series has struggled to find exceptional ratings this season although that is common across the whole network, which has struggled this year.
There is no mention of Reaper receiving a renewal at this time, although the list from The CW is by no means definitive yet
