British horror filmmaker Ben Wheatley will write, direct and produce Silk Road for HBO.
Wheatley’s series will be in the vein of the Patrick McGoohan classic The Prisoner, according to Bloody Disgusting, but details are currently being kept under wraps.
The very busy Wheatley has recently finished filming A Field in England, starring Michael Smiley, Julian Barratt and Reece Shearsmith, he directed a segment of anthology horror The ABCs of Death (read our review here), and he has Freak Shift in development.
