Back in March, the LA Times reported that it will be Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, to be produced by George DiCaprio and tar his grandson Leonardo. In an interview with Eclipse magazine, Scott was particularly evasive about the subject, however, despite his remarks earlier last year that science-fiction films are dead he still seems keen on the project. “I am going to do [a science-fiction film]. I waited for a book for 20 years and I have got the book. I am not going to tell you what the book is but that film is going to probably be written within the next month. That will definitely be what I do next after Nottingham, the Robin Hood film that I am doing now in England.”

Brave New World is a landmark novel in science fiction, detailing a society that is supposedly ideal but hides dystopian facets beneath a veneer of perfection. Following Bernard Marx, the narrative describes his efforts to break out from the routine of his life, and find a more imperfect version of existence. As this is conjecture at this point, information should be treated as rumour until verified.
