Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle trailer is back in the game

The Rock, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan star in the first trailer for the new Jumanji

The first trailer for Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle has arrived, bringing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan into an updated version of the game we all know and love.

There’s also a US trailer, which features less Rhys Darby and more of Karen Gillan’s character pointing out how impractical her outfit is (and allergy jokes).

“In the brand new adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji.  When they discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji –Jumanji plays you.  They’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they’ll be stuck in the game forever…”

The film also stars Nick Jonas, Rhys Darby, Missi Pyle, Bobby Cannavale, Tim Matheson, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain and Mark Evan Jackson. It’s written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner and directed by Jake Kasdan.

Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle is released in December. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
