Nikolaj Coster-Waldau has been cast in the lead role of Ron Moore’s new science fiction show, Virtuality.
The news comes through The Hollywood Reporter, which places Coster-Waldau in the role of Captain Frank Pike, the captain of the expedition. The Danish actor is best known for his role as John Amsterdam, on the troubled and short-lived show New Amsterdam, which revolved around a man made immortal in New York City until he finds his one true love.
Virtuality casting has been progressing at a rapid pace over the last few weeks, with what must be the full cast announced now. The show is filming a back door pilot, with a view to running as a serialised show on Fox.
