Joe Cornish set to Attack The Block

A new British comedy looms on the horizon.

417ST9YX8WL._SS500_Joe Cornish, one half of comedy duo Adam And Joe, has started work on his mooted sci-fi comedy Attack The Block, according to Empire. This mark’s Cornish’s first time working behind the camera, and he will be working from his own original concept. Regarding plot, the clue is very much in the title and the film focuses on a group of London teenagers who have to defend their tower block home from an alien attack.

Cornish has recently co-written the screenplay for Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson’s The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn, and to date he is still working with Edgar Wright in bringing Marvel’s Ant-Man to screens.

Attack The Block will begin filming in December and is being produced by Big Talk Productions and Optimum Releasing.
