Krysten Ritter is set to make her directorial debut in Jessica Jones Season 3

According to DeadlineJessica Jones star Krysten Ritter is set to make her directorial debut on an upcoming episode of Season 3.

“I am beyond thrilled to make my directorial debut on Marvel’s Jessica Jones,” she said in a statement. “The entire crew and cast has become family to me, and I’m so appreciative of the opportunity to work with our incredible team in this new way. I am so grateful that [showrunner] Melissa Rosenberg, Jeph Loeb, Marvel, and Netflix entrusted me to take the reins.”

Jessica Jones also stars Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth and Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse. Season 3 is currently filming in New York City.

New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after taking down her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.

Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by an incredible returning cast that includes Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.
