IT new trailer has more Pennywise, more balloons, more screaming

Pennywise lives (and speaks) in the new trailer for the IT remake

Grab your paper boats, the new trailer for the IT remake has arrived…

There’s more of Bill Skarsgård’s Pennywise in this trailer, even a little bit of dialogue from the clown demon, and there are more snippets of the set-pieces to come. It’s still leaning heavily on poor Georgie, which is obviously fair enough, but it’s nice to get a bit more of a sense of how hostile the town of Derry is, and it looks like the bullies, led by Nicholas Hamilton’s Henry Bowers, are going to play a big part. Honestly, though, what is Richie Tozier thinking going into a room full of clown dolls? That’s just asking for trouble.

“When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.”

IT stars Bill Skarsgård (Allegiant, TV’s Hemlock Grove) as the story’s central villain, Pennywise. An ensemble of young actors also star in the film, including Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Jeremy Ray Taylor (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip), Sophia Lillis (37), Finn Wolfhard (TV’s Stranger Things), Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming Cops and Robbers), Jack Dylan Grazer (Tales Of Halloween) and Nicholas Hamilton (Captain Fantastic).

It will be released in cinemas on 8 September 2017. You can download Stephen King: The Complete Manual from GreatDigitalMags.com. For all the latest movie news, pick up the new issue of SciFiNow.
