Into The Badlands renewed for Season 3 by AMC

Get ready for a 16-episode new season of Into The Badlands, ’cause it’s coming

AMC certainly has a lot of faith in its martial arts drama Into The Badlands; the network has not only renewed the show for Season 3, but also gone and expanded the upcoming season to 16 episodes.

After a six-episode Season 1 and a ten-episode Season 2 (which is currently still airing weekly), the show just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Into the Badlands looks like nothing else on television, a literal high-wire act attracting passionate and dedicated fans by the millions,” said president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios Charlie Collier.

“Thanks to series creators and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar, the terrific cast, led by Daniel Wu, the amazing martial arts team guided by the incomparable Master Dee Dee and fight directors Stephen Fung and Andy Cheng, and everyone else involved who brings this thrill ride to the fans.”

Gough and Millar also commented, saying: “We are excited and grateful to continue our journey into the Badlands with Charlie, Joel, Susie and all of our friends at AMC. We also want to give a big clipper salute to our Irish and Chinese partners! The thought of doing an expanded 16-episode season is both thrilling and exhausting!”

Into The Badlands stars Daniel Wu, Orla Brandy, Sarah Bolger, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Oliver Stark, Madeleine Mantock and Ally Ioannides.

Into The Badlands Season 2 premieres a new episode every week on Amazon Prime UK. Get all the latest fantasy news with every issue of SciFiNow.
