nowgamer_homepageIn keeping with the digital revolution that permeates every aspect of our daily lives, Imagine Publishing has launched a new website – NowGamer.com – that promises to be the premier source for gaming news, reviews, features, interviews and so much more on the internet.“Everyone on the team hated those sites that were all bright with flashing graphics, and difficult-to-read text,” said Damian Butt, the managing director of Imagine Publishing. “We all just wanted something that was simple, with subdued colours. If you look at most gaming sites out there they all look the same – like a car crash! But contrast that with a clean site like Eurogamer, which a lot of people at Imagine, including myself, admire, and you can see where we’re coming from.”

NowGamer.com’s unique aesthetic, and almost unlimited functionality sets it heads and shoulders above the thousands of other blogs, portals and news sites related to videogames throughout the world wide web, as the website’s news editor Chris Reynolds explains: “I think our biggest advantage is that we’re able to leverage the vast amount of content created by Imagine’s team of magazine writers. So the site will be bursting at the seams with reviews, previews and features all written to the high quality standards of print publications.”

Despite the lofty ambitions, one of the major attractions of NowGamer.com is it’s level-headedness. “I think our expectations for NowGamer are realistic. There are a lot of excellent game websites out there, and it will be tough to stand out in such a crowded arena. Essentially we just want to make a site we’re really proud of. We’re targeting a more discerning crowd, and fully prepared to take our time building a strong community of dedicated gamers around the site. We won’t be trying to generate cheap traffic with features on polygonal tits, or anything like that.”
