Warner Bros. has released five images from the upcoming post-apocalyptic film Book Of Eli, starring Denzel Washington. The pictures appear in today’s issue of USA Today, and show a world not too far removed from that portrayed in soon-to-be-released films such as The Road, and videogames such as Fallout 3.

The low res images are displayed below, and will be updated with high resolution versions once they become available. The USA Today article provides contextual information for the images, in which Eli comes to a fork in the road and decides to visit a tavern to recharge his iPod (seriously) and refill his water canteen. Unsurprisingly, he runs into trouble with the regulars.
