Fear The Walking Dead Season Five confirmed

AMC gives Fear The Walking Dead the greenlight for a fifth season

Fear The Walking Dead has quietly (well, less and less quietly actually) gone from being the spin-off we weren’t sure we needed to a show that threatens to surpass its progenitor in terms of quality, with Season Four bringing in some fantastic new actors (Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, and of course Lennie James as Morgan) and a new energy.

So we’re very pleased to hear that AMC has given the go-ahead for a fifth season ahead of the second half of Season Four getting started in August.

There’s been some big spoilery changes this year already, with the original line-up now thinned down to Alycia Debnam-Carey’s Alicia Clark and Colman Domingo’s Strand. The trailer for Season 4B hit Comic-Con and promised more humour and a goddamn hurricane, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for our survivors.

Fear The Walking Dead will return to the AMC channel on 13 August. Keep up with the latest genre news with the new issue of SciFiNow.
