Elizabeth Banks has been cast in James Gunn’s upcoming untitled horror film. It will be the first project the pair has collaborated on since Slither in 2005.
The H Collective is financing the film, while Gunn and his company Troll Court Entertainment are producing. David Yarovesky (The Hive) is set to direct.
“Elizabeth and I have been on the same artistic page since we first met when she auditioned for Slither back in 2005,” said Gunn.
“She’s since remained one of my best friends in the world, and I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to work with her again. She’s the perfect partner to Yarvo, the H Collective and myself in creating this very special project.”
If there are any film fans alive still unfamiliar with either of them, Banks is known for her roles in the likes of Wet Hot American Summer, Pitch Perfect and The Hunger Games, while Gunn directed Marvel’s hit Guardians Of The Galaxy films.
Production on the untitled horror film is set to start this spring.
