Upcoming Disney+ series Echo sees the return of Alaqua Cox Returns to the MCU as Hawkeye’s Maya Lopez, the deaf gang leader who was determined to make Clint Barton pay for Ronin’s vengeful deeds in the 2021 series.

Production is currently underway in Atlanta and you can check out the first image of the show above!

Echo revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.

Episodes are directed by Sydney Freeland (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) and Catriona McKenzie (The Walking Dead) and the series also stars Chaske Spencer (Wild Indian), Tantoo Cardinal (Killers of the Flower Moon), Devery Jacobs (American Gods) and Cody Lightning (Four Sheets to the Wind), with Graham Greene (1883) and Zahn McClarnon (Dark Winds).

Echo will be heading to Disney+ in 2023
