With the Deadpool movie finally hurtling towards production, the film is narrowing down its choices for the female lead.
Deadline reports that Morena Baccarin (Gotham, Firefly), Taylor Schilling (Orange Is The New Black), Jessica De Gouw (Arrow), Sarah Greene (Vikings), Crystal Reed (Teen Wolf) and Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Red Band Society) are all in the running to join Ryan Reynolds in Tim Miller’s X-Men spin-off.
There’s no word yet about any potential frontrunners, nor indeed about who exactly said female lead is. In fact, precious little is known about the Deadpool movie, beyond the fact that production is set to begin in March.
More details will almost certainly emerge soon as the production date gets closer and closer for the Merc With A Mouth.
