Starz have renewed David S Goyer‘s new Renaissance fantasy Da Vinci’s Demons for a second season after only one episode.
The debut picked up a respectable 2.14 million viewers in the US, and production is expected to begin May 2013 for a 2014 broadcast.
Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said: “Da Vinci’s Demons serves up action, adventure and history in a unique and highly entertaining way that only someone like David S Goyer can.
“The first season premiered to strong audience engagement and we are excited to bring the next chapter of Leonardo da Vinci’s adventures to audiences around the world.”
Da Vinci’s Demons debuts on Friday 19 April 2013 at 10pm on FOX.
