While a decent-sized array of Blade Runner 2 cast members have already been announced, we’re yet to see actual footage from the film, or information about any of the characters. While this is still the case, we now have a couple of pieces of concept art for the sequel courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, which you can see below.
Basically, it’s unmistakably Blade Runner. While things look slightly more futuristic than last time round, the neon-hued gloom of the massive cityscape remains. If nothing else, the art direction looks to be nailed down. So in other words, so far so good.
So far, the cast includes Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, Carla Juri, Sylvia Hoeks, David Dastmalchian and Hiam Abbass. Denis Villeneuve (Incendies, Enemy, Prisoners, Sicario) is directing from a script penned by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green.
