Roslin still believes in her personal mission to destroy the resurrection hub, rendering her enemies mortal. She also wants to grab D’Anna and discover what she knows before letting the Cylon rebels see her. She is not at all concerned with the consequences of her actions, though every time the basestar jumps she has visions of her own death, featuring Elosha, her priest who died on Kobol. Each jump carries her and Baltar further away from the human fleet. The hybrid is in panic after hearing of Natalie’s death, but eventually regains focus and heads for the resurrection hub. Between jumps, Roslin and Baltar attempt to communicate with the hybrid, while Helo and the Eight grow closer as they plan the upcoming battles and prepare their unsettled crews. Roslin gives Helo a secret order: to bring D’Anna directly to Roslin for interrogation, with no Cylons present. Helo warns that this could be seen as a betrayal of the alliance, but Roslin orders him to proceed regardless. When the basestar reaches the hub, all hell breaks loose, as Cavil’s Cylon forces mount a strong defence. Helo and the Eight sneak on board the hub, to find D’Anna already awake. Cavil and Boomer had resurrected her, but she has already killed Cavil, and Boomer has fled. As Helo, the Eight and D’Anna escape the stricken hub aboard a Raptor, the human forces unleash a barrage of nuclear missiles, obliterating the hub. Baltar was injured in the fight, and as Roslin tries to help him he reveals that his actions enabled the horrific Cylon attack on the Twelve Colonies. He believes his faith exempts him from guilt. Despite his pleading, Roslin removes the dressing from his wounds and leaves him to bleed out as she watches, eventually having a crisis of conscience via Head Elosha. When D’Anna is brought aboard and to Roslin, she first jokes that the President is one of the Final Five, to her horror, but eventually says that she won’t reveal who they are until she’s brought back to Galactica.
