Moonfall: New teaser and poster for Emmerich sci-fi

Lies about Apollo 11’s moon landing have been kept secret for 50 years in Roland Emmerich’s new disaster sci-fi, Moonfall…

Moonfall

It’s pretty safe to say that Roland Emmerich knows his way around sci-fi, writing and directing Independence Day, 2012, The Day After Tomorrow (plus plenty more) and now’s he’s back with disaster sci-fi Moonfall.

Check out the brand new poster above and the teaser trailer here…

In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Halle Berry, X-Men: Days of Future Past) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley, Game of Thrones) believes her.

These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our moon is not what we think it is…

Out next year, Moonfall is directed and co-written by Roland Emmerich, alongside Harald Kloser (The Day After Tomorrow) and Spenser Cohen (Extinction). The movie also stars Michael Peña (Ant-Man), Charlie Plummer (The Clovehitch Killer), Kelly Yu, Eme Ikwuakor (Inhumans), Carolina Bartczak (X-Men: Apocalypse), and Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games).

Moonfall is out in cinemas on 4 February 2022.
