It’s been eight years since we met the little voices inside Riley’s head in Disney and Pixars’s Inside Out and next summer there is a brand new emotion to add to the mix: Anxiety, in Inside Out 2.

Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.

Directed by Kelsey Mann (who wrote The Good Dinosaur), the movie features the voices of Amy Poehler (Parks And Recreation) as Joy, Phyllis Smith (Parks And Recreation) as Sadness, Lewis Black (Inside Out) as Anger, Tony Hale (Harley Quinn) as Fear, Liza Lapira (The Equalizer) as Disgust and Maya Hawke (Stranger Things) as brand new emotion Anxiety,

“Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” said director Kelsey Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.”

Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 will be released in cinemas on June 2024. Watch more trailers at the SciFiNow YouTube channel.
