A trailer for upcoming space feature Pandorum has been released and on first impression it’s shaping up to be quite a decent sci-fi horror.
Directed by Christian Alvart and produced by Paul WS Anderson, the film follows Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster’s spacemen as they awaken from a deep sleep. With the men finding themselves aboard a spooky spaceship with no idea about the mission at hand, events soon take a sinister turn. There’s a lot going on in this trailer but from what we can gather it has a faint whiff of Anderson’s own Event Horizon about it. Throw in some nods to Alien and Dark Star and what we could have is a jumpy scare fest crammed with nods and winks to sci-fi films of old.
The film is being released by Summit Entertainment and will hit cinemas on 04 September 2009.
